What’s Ahead for PBMs in 2021

Share

The new year brings big changes. As 2021 gets underway, Pharmacy Benefit Managers (PBMs) will continue to advocate on behalf of patients and families to bring down the cost of prescription medications. Utilizing every tool in their arsenal, like encouraging the use of mail-service pharmacies and negotiating rebates with drugmakers, PBMs will never stop advocating for the 266 million patients we serve.

On the latest episode of the Pharmacy Benefit Podcast, PCMA President & CEO, JC Scott, sat down with Megan Hauck, a former Health Policy Advisor to President George W. Bush, Senator Mitch McConnell, and Chris Jennings, former Senior Advisor for Health Policy for both the Clinton and Obama Administrations. They talked about the new administration, the 117th Congress, and explored what 2021 will bring for health care in the United States.

Listen to their conversation, see what’s in store for the year ahead, and learn how PBMs continue to be #OnYourRxSide in 2021.
